
Anita’s Theatre Heritage Restoration – Thirroul

Anita’s Theatre, located in Thirroul on the northern beaches of the Illawarra, is a listed heritage item with social and aesthetic significance, and is a rare surviving example of the moving picture palaces of the 1920’s. The owners, Lyncove Pty Ltd were seeking to restore the building and develop adjoining parcels of land for a mixed commercial, retail and residential project.
TCG Planning was engaged to manage the project, which incorporated:
- Development application documentation;
- Subconsultant coordination;
- Arrangement of construction certificates;
- Obtaining of the Place of Public Entertainment Licence. |

Waste Recycling Facility – Illawarra

The Canterbury Road Waste Recycling Facility is sited on a 5 hectare allotment adjacent to the Port Kembla industrial area and has the capacity to handle 180,000 tonnes of builder’s construction and demolition waste per annum.
TCG Planning prepared an Environmental Impact Statement and successfully coordinated this project from its concept to development approval. TCG was responsible for negotiations with Council and State Government Agencies, chairing of planning focus meetings, together with the coordination of specialist sub consultants involved in the project. |

Land Rezoning – Wollondilly Shire

TCG Planning was responsible for the coordination and management of the statutory process for the rezoning of an 84-hectare parcel of rural land at Appin in the south-western outskirts of Sydney, facilitating subdivision for a new 400 lot residential development.
TCG Planning successfully managed the rezoning assessment process including the preparation of a Local Environmental Study and coordination of community consultation. The project also required extended negotiations with the Roads and Traffic Authority relating to the relocation of the future Appin bypass route and the offsetting of this with the dedication of land for biodiversity conservation purposes. |
